Μιας και οι κανονισμοί των βραβείων δεν επιτρέπουν σε μη-αγγλόφωνες ταινίες να διαγωνιστούν για το βραβείο καλύτερου δράματος ή κωμωδίας, το ύψιστο Roma του Alfonso Cuaron κέρδισε ανετότατα τόσο το βραβείο σκηνοθεσίας όσο και το βραβείο καλύτερης ξενόγλωσσης ταινίας, ενώ το βραβείο σεναρίου πήγε στο Green Book και το βραβείο καλύτερου animation πήγε στο υπέροχο Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Καλύτερη δραματική σειρά αναδείχθηκε το The Americans έπειτα από το μεγάλο φινάλε του, ενώ βραβείο καλύτερης κωμικής σειράς πήγε στο The Kominsky Method με τους γλυκύτατους βετεράνους Michael Douglas και Alan Arkin . Καλύτερη μίνι-σειρά, από την άλλη, ψηφίστηκε το The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. Τα μεγάλα βραβεία ερμηνείας, τέλος, πήγαν στην Sandra Oh για το αγαπημένο μας Killing Eve , στον Richard Madden για το Bodyguard , στον Michael Douglas για το Kominsky Method και στην Rachel Brosnahan για το The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel .
