Σαρωτικό το Poor Things και ο Γιώργος Λάνθιμος στις υποψηφιότητες των Όσκαρ που ανακοινώθηκαν πριν λίγο ζωντανά στο YouTube της Ακαδημίας. Ούτε 1, ούτε 2, ούτε 3 ΑΛΛΑ 11 ΥΠΟΨΗΦΙΟΤΗΤΕΣ μάζεψε η ταινία του Λάνθιμου, ανάμεσά τους φυσικά και όλα τα μεγάλα βραβεία του θεσμού: Καλύτερη Ταινία, Καλύτερη Σκηνοθεσία, Α’ Γυναικείος Ρόλος για την Emma Stone (προφανώς) κλπ. Ας σημειώσουμε πως υποψηφιότητα έχει και ο Γιώργος Μαυροψαρίδης για το μοντάζ (2η μετά το The Favourite, όπως κι ο Λάνθιμος). Οι περισσότερες υποψηφιότητες βέβαια ανήκουν στο Oppenheimer, το οποίο οδηγεί την κούρσα με 13 συνολικά, ενώ γενικά δεν είχαμε ιδιαίτερες εκπλήξεις καθώς οι περισσότερες θέσεις συμπληρώθηκαν από ταινίες που ήδη έχουν πρωταγωνιστήσει στις Χρυσές Σφαίρες, τα BAFTA κλπ, όπως το The Zone of Interest, το Anatomy of a Fall, το Killers of the Flower Moon κλπ.
