Πέρασε μια βδομάδα κιόλας από το φινάλε της σειράς που όλοι λατρέψαμε όσο λίγο. Μια σειρά που μας καθήλωσε με τις ερμηνείες του φοβερού διδύμου Μακόναχι και Χάρελσον, τα σκοτεινά πλάνα του Νότου και την αποκαθηλωτικη σκηνοθεσία του. Έτσι όπως είναι λογικό δε δώσαμε εξαρχής σημασία στην μουσική της σειράς, που αν της ρίξει κάποιος μια πιο σοβαρή ματιά, θα εντυπωσιαστεί από την πρωτoτυπία, την φαντασία και την ποικιλία στα μουσικά κομμάτια που διάλεξαν οι συντελεστές και τα οποία μάλιστα δένουν τέλεια με την υπόθεση, λαμβάνοντας υπόψιν ότι αυτή εκτυλίσσεται στα πέριξ της Νέας Ορλεάνης.

Το μουσικό αφιέρωμα στην πρώτη σεζόν του True Detective δε θα μπορούσε να μην είχε αρχίσει με το Far From Any Road των The Handsome Family που ακούγεται στους επιβλητικούς τίτλους αρχής
