Ολοκληρώθηκε και φέτος η σεμνή τελετή των Χρυσών Σφαιρών, στην οποία μαζεύεται κάθε χρόνο το Hollywood για να τιμήσει τους καλύτερους και τις καλύτερες στον κινηματογράφο και την τηλεόραση, αλλά κυρίως να προετοιμαστεί για τα Όσκαρ της χρονιάς, προεόρτιο (και εκδοχή από τα Lidl) των οποίων θα έλεγε κάποιος κακοπροαίρετος ότι αποτελούν τα Golden Globes. Αν ρίξει κανείς μια γρήγορη ματιά στα βραβεία, τότε συνειδητοποιεί ότι το 2023 κυριάρχησαν εν πολλοίς αφενός το The Fabelmans του Steven Spielberg κι αφετέρου το The Banshees of Inisherin του Martin McDonagh. Από μεγάλα βραβεία, το πρώτο τσίμπησε Best motion picture – drama και Best director – motion picture, ενώ το δεύτερο Best motion picture – musical or comedy και Best screenplay – motion picture, αλλά και ένα βραβείο καλύτερης ανδρικής ερμηνείας για τον Colin Farrell. Στα τηλεοπτικά βραβεία έπαιξαν μπάλα το House of the Dragon και το Abbott Elementary στις κατηγορίες Best television series – drama και Best television series – musical or comedy αντίστοιχα, ενώ αυτό στο οποίο αξίζει σίγουρα να εστιάσουμε είναι το σνομπάρισμα της τελευταίας σεζόν του Better Call Saul στην κατηγορία του καλύτερου τηλεοπτικού δράματος και του Bob Odenkirk στην καλύτερη τηλεοπτικη ερμηνεία. Για τους λάτρεις της στατιστικής, ήταν η 5η φορά που σνομπάρεται ο Odenkirk για το συγκεκριμένο βραβείο.
